Hair Recipes to Try – Homemade Avocado Deep Conditioner

You just have to love avocados, especially for our natural tresses.

* Homemade Avocado Deep Conditioner *

Ingredients Needed:

  • 1/2 of a Avocado
  • 1/2 of a Ripe Banana
  • 1/4 of a Can of Coconut Milk
  • 4 TBSP of Extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 TBSP of  Honey

Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth.  
  2. If the mixture is too thick add more olive oil or coconut oil.  
  3. After you wash your hair, apply the mixture generously to hair.
  4. Cover your hair with a plastic cap.
  5. Leave it in for 30 minutes under a hooded dryer.
  6. Detangle and rinse thoroughly.
  7. Style as usual.

NB: You can use eggs,mayo,yogurt instead of coconut milk.

  2. I read so many good things on avocado but I simply refuse to put it in my hair! Avocado is foooooddddd for my tummy haha I have done this recipe minus the avocado and it is pretty awesome!

      • Just realize that my last blog post basically mimics this recipe even tho I clearly vowed not to put avocado in my hair LOL So if I do decide to splurge and buy an avocado for my hair, I think I will use this recipe instead. I loveeee all the extra bits listed (honey esp)
